As a second-generation family member in this family-owned business, Nancy literally grew up with the company. She worked after school and summers at Bob Barker Company learning the business from the ground up. She earned an undergraduate degree from UNC-Wilmington and then completed her MBA at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Nancy has served in numerous roles at the company including Sales Representative, Customer Service Manager, Distribution Manager, Training Director, President, Marketing Vice President, and Corporate Social Responsibility Vice President. She currently serves as COO and as Chair of the Bob Barker Foundation.Nancy believes in second chances and that people should not be labeled by a single mistake. She is inspired by the nonprofits the Foundation supports and the work they do every day to help people who have experienced incarceration to successfully return to society and stay out of the criminal justice system for life.
Nancy is married to Dan Johns and has two daughters, Rachel and Adelle. The Johns family loves playing with their dogs and traveling. Nancy contributes to the local community on the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association board. She has previously served on the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce board, the Wake Technical College board and the United Arts of Wake County board. She attends First Cary United Methodist Church.
